Ellie Bick is a Manchester-based playwright, stage manager, director, technician and artist. After training for 13 years in Acting, dancing and vocals, her works focus on modern social and political issues. Ellie is currently stage managing and directing new plays and short films across the UK, submitting her own works into several competitions and commissions, and taking part in workshops and courses to develop her own style. |

Keeping Mitt in the Family- August 2018- MAP48.5
In her film directing debut, "Keeping Mitt in the Family" was created for the Manchester Actors Platform's competition, MAP 48.5, where a short film is created with a given prop, writer and cast within 48 hours! Despite these challenges, the team won 4 awards; Best Use of Prop, Best writer, The Spirit of MAP and now The People's Choice Award!

For the LJMU Outta the Box festival, Seal of Concession was influenced by Marina Abramovic's Rhythm 0, looking at what people would be willing to do with no consequences. Hidden in separate bathroom cubicles, conversations about art, emotion and life took place anonymously.

As part of The LJMU Drama festival 2013, I was invited to take part in a series of live art pieces about the Illuminati. I performed as a victim, covered in blood and lay in bandages for almost 2 hours.
